WHAT ALTERNATIVE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
For the majority of our civilization's recorded history, we've let people with vested interests dictate to us the means of how we should live, what we should desire, how we should desire it, and from whom we should go buy it from. We've been divided in every way possible, pitted not just against our neighbours but against our own selves, our own inner aspirations. We want things we think we want because Monkeys want us to want them. At the same time we look up to them, vote or buy to validate their reign and power and expect them to do what is right in delivering us happiness and fulfillment. It's become clear as of this point that it doesn't work. And the future we've seen them prepare offers anything BUT change. Especially not that clamored "Change we can believe in".

When we talk about Alternative, we not only talk of a power shift as to whom we entrust with our collective fate. We also and especially mean a change as to how we live together. We've got struggling "families" of one to three people going nowhere as they paddle against the current and curl up in fear, defiance and hostility towards everything outside of them, in a system that only gets harder on them and keeps on building unrelenting pressure. The truth is, the plight is shared. It might be time to look back upon the group, the tribe, the clan, the collective, as proxies to the absolute whole and strive to ensure one another's welfare. There's no happiness of a few amidst the suffering of most. History's just proved to us it doesn't work. Monkeys might enjoy it that way, but that's as long they are the happy few. Well, for us it's not healthy. It's not desirable. And the greater divide we've been stuck with works just too well in giving free reign to whoever decides to monkeyingly exploit it.
