WHAT'S WITH THE NAME J.DOE MCC?
Within the administrative parts of the System, a John/Jane Doe is a person whose actual
name couldn't be recovered. Whether no means of identification exist or the person,
for any reason really doesn't have a name, in the end it's just the same. They're a Doe.
Well, so are we. Our premise is as follows: Our "identity" within a system that's driven
by statistics of every kind matters so little that we could just as well have none.
Opinion polls don't care about what our sweet mothers called us when we were born, the
nickname our friends give us or the ID we've created for ourselves on the internet.
The government doesn't either, unless we're being summoned to court. For everything else,
our social security number will do the job anyway. It's a civilisation of "mass" and by
definition, mass is about the whole not the "details" huh?
Then again, it's not that bad.
Beyond the irony of an increasingly "individualistic" society not being concerned with
our individual identities, we find that ultimately being nameless amongst the whole can
be a good thing. A clean slate. As there is indeed, as of the 21st Century a community of
disappointment in front of the butchered dreams of the 20th, a community of suffering and
enduring as well as a renewed and increasing community of aspiration for real honest
difference, in the end who we claim to be matters little in the face of what we strive
for, what we aim for and what we ultimately achieve as a human whole.
As for the "Mayhem" part, you'll agree this is what there is to see when we get to look out the window, isn't it?
And we believe that too can be a good thing. For make no mistake, the "End Times" we're going through
are also here to prompt us as to our final ability to formulate at last what we want for a world to live
in and whether or not we're ready to take responsibility and get involved in setting the difference.
Not entrust some "government" or "market" or corporate types to do it for us over again. As this concerns
the whole of the human race, it's no more time to speak as Mr. Kedge or Mr. Paddington where a Doe will
perfectly do.
